July 3-4
We left a hot Barcelona on Friday evening and arrived in a cold and wet Cork on Friday night. We stayed in the airport hotel and slept for as long as the hotel alarm let us, as it kept going off during the night. After a full Irish breakfast we set off to visit Blarney Castle on a beautiful, sunny Saturday morning. After kissing the famous Blarney stone and celebrating the 4th of July we headed towards Schull and Ballydehob.
We all met our new host families and went home to get to know them. It was raining in the evening!

This week we have had beautiful weather but it seems that it won't last until the weekend. These days we have all been getting used to our new daily routines. Classes, lunchtime, meeting our friends, walking round town, having early suppers and sleeping a lot. We had a few tears the first day we left our students with their host families but everyone seems happy now.

The weather forecast was correct. The good weather didn't last until the weekend. It rained a lot on Saturday and Sunday and the temperatures dropped. There were even quite a few smoking chimneys around Schull on Saturday night. The weather forced a change of plans for our Saturday outing. Monday brought the good weather back and we hope it lasts until the weekend again.

Well the weather got better and it virtually didn't rain at all last week, even on Saturday. We did lots of activities, from horse riding to sailing. Lots of us thought that time was starting to fly by.

Our time in Ireland has almost come to an end. In fact these are the last sentences that will be written here from while still in Ireland. Our photos today show the last trip to the beach, an interesting class of Irish dancers, for the first time ever quite a few boys joined up too, and some great football matches. By the way, we have been having some lovely weather.

The last day arrived. Some of us didn't want to go home. At the moment of wiriting we are all at the airport waiting for the flight home. We have all spent our last euros shopping in Cork and quite a few thought they were going to have to pay for the extra kilos! But in the end we all checked in without problems. That's all for this year.
